15 years ago, Kathleen co-founded Studio Cookie to help fill the void in the photography market; a lack of quality and services geared towards the consumer. She saw expensive artwork chipping, cracking, fading, and colour shifting. Beyond that, people saw photography – the booking, the prep, and the shoot itself – as a chore.
Wanting to offer the marketplace a studio with a fun vibe that would encourage people to be themselves, Kathleen founded Studio Cookie in 2006.

We specialize in turning a simple family photo shoot into a memorable activity – so you’re not only capturing memories, you’re creating them.

Fun and cheeky with an inherent ability to create environments that put everyone at ease, Kathleen is a Montreal based photographer with over 20 years’ experience capturing life’s most pivotal moments.
The goal is to capture your true self, and to create photos you can feel when you look back at them. The experience jumps through the frame and tells your story – whether it be the story of a family, a relationship, or a brand – through imagery and creates enduring pieces that stand the test of time.
Kathleen never imagined she would be a professional photographer, let alone running her own studio. She thought she would be a graphic designer, even though her photography-loving father put a Minolta SR-T 101 in her hands when she was just five years old. When her own son was born in 2006, she saw photography as a way to create time-stamped memories for herself. She opened the studio in October of that year. Merging her background and training in visual arts and communication and professional photography, Kathleen has an innate ability to connect with clients – many of whom have become extended family.

The Experience
You have enough going on in your life. At Studio Cookie, our goal is to take the stress out of the equation and make the session as carefree and enjoyable as possible. If that means you want us to assist with wardrobe, set-design or even getting your hair and makeup done, we can help.
If you’re wound up for a headshot, we are not above putting on your favourite tunes and offering you some Baileys with your coffee. If you’re prepared, happy and relaxed, your photos will reflect that vibe.
